  • How can I book a tour with Arctic GM?

    You can conveniently book any of our tours on our website up to 2 hours before the scheduled departure. We do, however, recommend booking well in advance to secure your spot and avoid sold-out situations. If you need to reserve a tour within the 2-hour window, please contact us directly to confirm availability.

  • Do you include pickup and drop-off?

    Yes. For most of our tours, we offer complimentary pickup and drop-off within the designated city area, at no extra cost. Be sure to check the specific details of your selected tour or reach out to us for more information.

  • Do you have a cancellation policy?

    Yes. We provide a full refund for tours canceled at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time.

  • What clothing should I wear?

    We provide a winter overall for the duration of the tour, but please note that we do not supply boots or hats. To stay comfortable in cold weather, we recommend wearing layered, warm clothing—including thermal wear—and bringing essential accessories such as a hat, gloves, and a scarf. This ensures you remain cozy and enjoy the experience to the fullest.

  • What type of payment methods do you accept?

    We accept various convenient payment options, including credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, Klarna, and bank transfers. At this time, we do not accept cash payments.

  • What is the payment process for bookings?

    To streamline your booking experience, we use a two-step payment system. A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation, and the remaining 75% is due upon arrival (one day before your tour). Alternatively, you can opt to pay the full amount upfront when you make your initial reservation.

  • Are meals included in the tour?

    We do not include full meals in our tours. However, some tours offer complimentary snacks with hot beverages, while others feature barbequed sausages with hot drinks. Please check the specific tour details for more information.

  • Are your tours suitable for children and families?

    Yes. Many of our tours are family-friendly and cater to various age groups. However, please note that some tours have a minimum age requirement for safety reasons, so be sure to check each tour’s details or contact us directly if you have any questions.

  • Is solo travel allowed on the tours?

    Yes, individual travelers are welcome. However, please note that some tours require a minimum number of participants to operate. For specific details and availability, feel free to contact us directly.

However, it's important to note that the intensity and scale of the Northern Lights, whether they are a small display or a spectacular aurora storm covering the entire sky, cannot be predicted or guaranteed by anyone. The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon influenced by various factors, including location, winds, solar activity and several other weather conditions.

  • How do you predict Northern Lights viewing conditions for the next few days or months?

    We take great care to ensure you have the best chance of witnessing the mesmerizing Northern Lights during your tour in Rovaniemi, Levi or Tromsø. Predicting the Northern Lights is a complex process that involves monitoring various factors. Here's how we do it:


    Daily Monitoring: Our dedicated team of experts continually monitors a wide range of factors on a daily basis. This includes staying up-to-date with weather forecasts, wind patterns, locations, space weather reports, and real-time data on solar activity. We also harness the power of our extensive network of friends and family living in various locations throughout Lapland for local insights.


    Team Meetings: To make the most accurate predictions, we hold team meetings the day before your tour and on the same day as your tour. During these meetings, we gather and analyze all available information to determine the likelihood of Northern Lights visibility.

    Yes! At the moment, we offer a multi-tour discount: receive 5% off your second tour and 10% off your third tour. For more information or booking arrangements, please get in touch with us directly.

    We try to accommodate dietary needs whenever possible—especially on tours that include snacks or light meals. Please let us know any restrictions at the time of booking.

  • Is travel insurance necessary?

    While travel insurance isn’t strictly required, we highly recommend it to protect against unforeseen circumstances such as trip delays, medical needs, or lost belongings.

  • What is your policy if I arrive late for the tour?

    We ask that all participants arrive on time to avoid missing the departure. If you’re running late, please contact us as soon as possible—depending on the tour schedule, we may be able to accommodate you. However, if we cannot wait and you miss the departure, you may be charged as a no-show.
